In this session, we will explore the opportunities and considerations of using generative AI in digital signage, particularly when coupled with interactive experiences such as touch screen kiosks. The session will be presented by two speakers; one with expertise in AI technology and the other from the Museum of Flight in Seattle, who will provide a case study of their experiences in utilizing AI for enhancing user experience.

The session will cover the benefits and limitations of using generative AI in digital signage, and how it can be used to create personalized experiences for different audiences. We will also discuss the challenges of adopting AI in a museum environment, particularly around issues of authenticity and preserving historical accuracy.

The Museum of Flight's case study will provide insight into how they have collaborated with digital signage and AI experts to create interactive experiences for museum visitors. This includes using DALL-E to let children generate their fantasy aircraft designs and utilizing AI to adapt the language of interpretative kiosks to different audiences.

The session will conclude with a discussion on the policies and education needed for museums to adopt AI responsibly, taking into account the ethical and cultural considerations. This session is ideal for anyone interested in using AI in digital signage and enhancing the user experience, as well as those who want to learn more about the challenges and opportunities of adopting AI in a museum environment.
